Swansea is the second largest city in Wales in the UK. The motto of this city is the name of Swansea is city and county of Swansea. The two largest rivers- Tawe and Loughor also passes through the city. Morriston, Sketty and City Centre are the most populated areas of Swansea. The climate of Swansea is mainly temperate oceanic.

Swansea is at the border of unitary authorities of Carmarthenshire from the north side and Neath Port Talbot from the east. It is at the border line of Swansea Bay and Bristol Channel. The size of the area of local government is 378 square kilometres which are 2% of the area of Wales. There are the Lliw uplands to the north, Gower Peninsula to the west and coastal strip to the east. Three seas -the Loughor Estuary, Swansea Bay and the Bristol Channel bordered the Swansea.

From the beginning of 18th century, Swansea is the main Centre of the copper industry.
