Wakefield

It is metropolitan borough comes under the west Yorkshire country. It is a combine area of the Yorkshire and the Humber of England, the United Kingdom. It is recognised as the compassion city as the sea food is very cheap to fulfil the stomach of a person. The facilitation of the fish food is very fast and easily available. Coal is also other important mineral found in this region. During civil war era, it is also considered to be a strong hold.

History

A festival was organised in the large open field of this region in the past. Because of this it got this beautiful name of Wakefield. During mid-18^th century there was an introduction of the railway. At the beginning of the 19^th century, the town got multifold income in its basket. Large warehouses were built for the storage of grains in this region. A libraray was also there for readers in the beginning of the 20^th century. At the later stage, glass and textile industry also got pace.

Goverence

In the earlier years, it was a town with one seat for Member of Parliament. For 20 years it was run by Yorkshire government. During 1913 it got status of the city. The city council run its administration from the country hall as its office. The seat of the MP is reserved with Labour party for 12 years.

The average high climate temperature of this town is 13 degree Celsius and average low temperature is 6.3 degree Celsius. It got average rainfall between 800mm and 900 mm.
