Patrick Mayfield at Symphera Project Management Conference in Prague

For the second year running Patrick Mayfield attended the Autumn Symphera PM conference in Prague as one of a line-up of distinguished guest speakers. Presenting to an audience of practitioners, trainers and consultants he took as his theme this year the subject of how we manage projects in a Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous world. Tracing a timeline forward from the 1980’s Patrick highlighted the seismic shift that has taken place and the implications of VUCA for us all.      

About the author:

Patrick was the private sector contributor to the original design and developing of PRINCE2® launched in 1996. He went on to form Pearce Mayfield in 2001. He was one of the authors of the acclaimed 2007 edition of Managing Successful Programmes, authoring chapters on Principles, Vision, Benefits Realisation, Business Case, Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement.

In 2013 he published  Practical People Engagement: Leading Change through the Power of Relationships, which 5-star rated on    Amazon and has been adopted by APMG-International as the core reference for its Stakeholder Engagement qualification.
